Replacing Flooring After a Disaster: Testimonial

Chris and Jenica Giffin had just returned from a long vacation. Relaxed and tanned, they walked into their Fishers home and found a homeowner’s worst nightmare. Their sink had sprung a leak, leaving their floors a warped and twisted mess. They managed to salvage the ceramic tile in their kitchen, since water doesn’t penetrate its hard surface, but the vinyl flooring in their living room and entryway were beyond repair. After mopping up the water, they called Tish Flooring. “My aunt had done business with Tish Flooring before and loved them,” Jenica said. “They were able to come right out and we could start putting the house back together.”

While they were replacing the ruined flooring downstairs, they decided to take the plunge and re-carpet most of their upstairs as well. Tish Flooring headed to Fishers for an in-home consultation, helping the Giffins select French rustic plank laminate flooring that resembles dark-stained hardwood, and a neutral carpet for the stairs and upstairs. “We loved the look of wood, but didn’t want to price ourselves out of the neighborhood. The laminate has worked great,” Jenica said.

It looks great, too. The wide-planked laminate plays off the warm yellow walls and gives the space a rustic, lived-in feel and complements their dark furniture. On the stairs and the second story, the soft carpet is perfect for their daughter to play on.
