25 years ago, David fell in love with a woman whose father owned a flooring store. The rest is history. David has owned his own flooring company and worked with other retailers across the country, but he’s called Tish Flooring home for the last six and a half years.

“When I work with Tish Flooring, I know all I have to worry about is making the client happy. We go in with the lowest price, I know they’ll take care of any service issues that might arise. It’s a great experience for everyone,” David says.

In his 25 years in the business, David has seen trends come and go. Sales of all hard-surface products, things like hardwood, tile, vinyl and laminate, have increased tremendously. The technology has also increased in the world of carpet, with new yarn surface technologies emerging all the time.

What’s hot right now in homes in Carmel and Indianapolis? “Tons of wood-look porcelain tile,” David says. “In basements, kitchens, bathrooms, anywhere you’d want the look of wood but where wood wouldn’t hold up very well. That’s huge.”
